  • You may hear Sound Therapy called many different names, Sound Healing, Sound Therapy, Crystal Bowl Healing, sound mediation, sound journeys, sound baths, vibrational medicine..etc .. Whatever one wants to call it sound options function similarly from one to the next, the core element is sound as a facilitator for relaxation, whether it's singing bowls, monochord, tongue drums, chimes. When on the body it promotes healing at a cellular level, when used off the body it will have similar effects because of the stress reduction, and sound waves travel. BELOW YOU WILL FIND THE TYPES OF SOUND THERAPY I OFFER.

  • Basic Vibrational Sound Therapy Session.(VST) This is  where therapeutic grade singing bowls  are placed on the body and struck in a pattern to optimize relaxation along with the utilization of crystal bowls around the body.  I also offer a modified session for anyone who needs off the body  work, examples being you are pregnant, have a heart condition with a pacemaker, or do not like touch.
  • Sound Journeys are where I add in other instruments to a VST Session like a tongue drum, and chimes, Monochord and shorten the time of on the body work.
  • Monochord therapy: for a taste of Monochord I recommend a Sound Journey, if you just love the gentle hum and tones of just Monochord Therapy Alone. I offer 1 hour and 1/2 hour options. Not sure what a monochord sounds like click  here
  • Tuning Fork Therapy / BioTuning- Tuning Forks, crystals, and reiki are used to help realign the energy fields of the body, focusing on moving stagnant energy or blocks. Tuning forks are also great for helping sore muscles and joints, by helping the blood flow via Vibration. Sessions are 1.5 hours and require a phone consultation.
  • Sound Journey/ Bath Experience for Groups 1 hour  Minimum, Cost for 1 hour plus travel fees negotiated upon booking.

I have a home office located at 5697 7 mile Rd, Bay City, MI 48706, Generally I am located about 15 minutes from Saginaw, Midland, and closest to Auburn MI.  To book please call 989-233-0082 .

Vibrational Sound Therapy (VST) combines powerful vibration and tones to induce an immediate relaxed state. This is the same for the Monochord.  The induction of the sound waves directly into the body along with soothing ambient tones is such a strong treatment that clients report effects ranging from a meditative state to deep relaxation. By placing the therapeutic singing bowls directly on the body and using correct techniques, a practitioner engages with their client both physically and aurally.

The techniques associated with VST have many advantages over traditional massage. One major comfort barrier that prevents many people from receiving a traditional massage is fear of being touched by a stranger. In the VST method, the client remains fully clothed and is never touched directly by the practitioner. In fact, because the singing bowl is doing most of the physical work, contact is kept to minimum. This does not diminish the connection between client and practitioner because spiritual intimacy is maintained through the sound and the vibration transmitted through the bowl. Vibrational Sound Therapy is also much less physically intrusive than traditional hands-on massage, and won’t leave the you feeling sore.

Vibrational Sound Therapy (VST) has profound effects on the body and the mind. The VST method is above all a method of relaxation, and most people will reach this state of relaxation quickly, even during their first session. During a VST session the body will go through noticeable changes as it responds to deeper and deeper states of rest. Relaxation is not only a physical state but also a state of consciousness, and VST has very strong effects on alertness and perception. Relaxation during a VST session brings on the same kind of brain states as yoga, tai chi, and meditation.   Most clients will start to relax as soon as the session begins. Their muscles will lose tension, and they may even start to slip into the alpha brain wave pattern within the first minutes. The alpha wave pattern is associated with daydreaming and pre-sleep. At this point the client's breathing and heart rate will start to slow down, and the body will begin to absorb the waves of vibration into its tissues. The slowing of breathing and lack of muscle tension are both signs that the metabolism is slowing. Insulin levels will rise, and cortisol levels will fall. As the heart rate slows, blood pressure falls and arteries expand giving rise to a feeling of warmth. This relaxed state allows the body to repair itself instead of responding to outside concerns. The immune system is at its best when we are relaxed.  VST is so gentle and relaxing that almost all people will fall asleep at some point during the session. The theta brain wave state is associated with meditation, sleep, and deep relaxation. The delta brain state is a deeper form of sleep and is also associated with hypnosis and ritual. During normal sleep, people will oscillate between both of these states. The brain wave state of clients undergoing a sound massage will change naturally and in reaction to the modality as positions are changed and different bowls are introduced. Small tremors and shakes are common as people enter and exit the theta and delta brain rhythms.   Those who undergo a state of deep relaxation often report a feeling of mental freshness that they carry with them after the session is over. Relaxation and meditative states of mind have also been shown to increase the threshold for emotional response, meaning they can help us control our emotional responses to outside influences. Like other kinds of meditation, sound therapy can help us be more internally aware while being more present in the moment and more connected with our surroundings.  ( information provided byVSA) https://www.vibrationalsoundassociation.com/what-happens-during-a-vst-session/)

With all the Sound Healing Modalities offered the benefits are all the similar, which is one of the wonderful things about sound, no matter how you utilize it the effects are beneficial to anyone. Think of it this way, when the body is in disharmony sound is used to tune it back into harmony, just like one would tune a piano. It is a pathway to allow your body to heal effectively.

  • Slowing of respiration
  • Deep relaxation
  • Reduction of stress and anxiety
  • Lessening feelings of anger and fear

Monochord therapy is applied with a light weight 21 string on the body Monochord. The monochord is played to produced strong vibration and lyrical overtones that guide you to a relaxed state of mind. While laying on a massage table, I then place the instrument directly on the body, we engage with clients both physically and aurally. The ambient rolling waves of sound lull recipients into deep relaxation, while the subtle vibrations offer a gentle “massage” to the cellular tissues of the body. Because the Monochord is doing most of the physical work, contact is kept to an absolute minimum. The instrument quickly eases us into a state of mindfulness and well-being. Results vary of course, but Monochord Therapy has profound effects on the body and mind. The modality is above all a method of complete relaxation, and most recipients will reach this state quite quickly, even during their first session; many fall completely asleep.  See the Sound Bites page for a quick preview .

Tuning Fork Therapy, sometimes referred to as Biofield Tuning, is a sound therapy modality that uses tuning forks to relieve mental, emotional, and physical stress. It is a targeted therapeutic process that helps restore balance in the biofield (the electromagnetic system of the body). This energy field surrounds and permeates the body and is inextricably connected with our conscious and subconscious minds, including all of our memories.

Physical, mental, and emotional ailment can be perceived as "dissonance" in our energy fields. Tuning forks are able to diminish and resolve this dissonance and in doing so, can alleviate and even eradicate the corresponding symptoms. By introducing coherent input into the biofield we can recalibrate the body and bring about a noticeable change, simply by treating vibration with vibration. The sound resonates with and then entrains the area of dissonance bringing about harmony, which can bring the body and biofield back to homeostasis.

During a tuning fork session, recipients lie fully clothed on a massage therapy table while I activate each tuning fork and systematically scan the body. I  work slowly, beginning from a distance, feeling for resistance and turbulence in the energy field while listening for a change in the overtones and undertones of the tuning fork. When a turbulent area is discovered, the tuning fork is reactivated and held in that specific spot. Research suggests the body's organizational energy uses the steady coherent vibrational frequency of the tuning fork to "tune" itself.  In short order, the dissonance resolves and the sense of resistance gives way. This often appears to correspond to the release of tension within the body.

I currently use a set of Solfeggio unweighted forks, and Ohm  weighted Tuning forks in various HZ.

It is beneficial for animals and humans alike, but just like humans some may not enjoy the sound. I have two  dogs who respond well, and one who doesn't but I am always willing to try. I have seen plenty of videos in which animals are enjoying a good singing bowl serenade.

At this time I do not travel for individuals, but I will travel for group meetings.

When you arrive, we have a quick chat fill out proper consent forms and make sure you don't have any heart issues or areas of pain I need to be aware of. You are fully clothed sans shoes on a comfy massage table, table warmer and sheet or blanket optional. I give you a brief breakdown of what to expect as far as where bowls will be placed. I will give a brief instruction of breathing technique  as we slowly begin. I encourage you not to chat and utilize this time for you. I do not talk much other than to check in briefly, and have you flip if you are doing a front and back session.  The Sound is the  main focus along with allowing yourself to be in the moment and relax. Lastly what to wear, comfortable clothing sweatpants and a t shirt or sweatshirt , cotton clothing with no sequins, or beading, as it can distort sound. It is important to wear clothing that is comfortable.
